Hot Robert Plant fic :D Based on the medieval/viking/whatever it was supposed to be/scene thing from The Song Remains The Same. Enjoy, mes amis.
“We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
Hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, sing and cry ‘Valhalla, I am coming!’
On we sweep
With threshing oar.
Our only goal
Will be the Western shore…”
It was a terribly overcast day. Our boat, a fairly traditional longship, was stopped for the night. We had lodged around a swampy area. It seemed very dead, aside from the insects buzzing around the water - mostly mosquitos and dragonflies. Most of our clan had started to set up camp, but I had set out scavenging and daydreaming.
I searched through the nearby bushes until I came upon a vast field of grass - grey because there was no golden rays to hit the blades and bring out the green - and sage. The air here was pure and clean. It streched out into the distance to the foggy Misty Mountains. I had started picking the sage when I saw something across the field.
It was a man on a white horse. He wore sheepskin, leather and rags like the rest of us, but there was something different about him. He had long bushy hair of golden flax, a beard growing in, and a strong build. He was a very good looking man. I bet he glowed gold in the sun. He looked like the god Thor; at least, he did the way he was described to me when we told the stories of how we came here.
I was scared for a moment. What if he was leading a group of pillagers? I backed up to the bushes from which I had emerged and hid, hoping he hadn’t noticed me. After watching him guiding the horse around the field with him a bit, I couldn’t see anyone else with him. Do I say hello, or return to the camp?
He was steadily riding to this end of the field, but I couldn’t be sure if he had seen me or not. I was wearing rags and sheepskin, which may have helped me blend in with the grey surroundings, but I couldn’t be sure to what degree.
I backed farther into the bushes as he approached them. His eyes were searching the bushes for something. Either he saw an animal and was hoping for a hunt, or he saw me. I realized the answer to my question as he begun calling into the surrounding bushes.
"Hello? Is anyone there? Hey, I saw you. Please come out of hiding. I’m lost and I need some guidance."
I had no desire to show myself to this man. I felt feeble in the prescence of this god; however, I felt bad for him. He was just taking off in the other direction when I re-emerged from the bushes, twigs stuck in my hair but I couldn’t care right now.
He stopped when the bushes rustled and turned around to see me. He smiled warmly.
"Hello," I said uncertainly.
"Hello. You have no idea how happy it makes me to see someone," he said, hopping off his horse and walking over, guiding it along with him.
I watched him approach me. His every movement was divine - his mannerism, his stride. There was something about him.
"I take it you weren’t foolish like me and you came with others," he said with a chuckle.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Just a traveler looking for civilisation." He did seem very friendly.
"What are you doing all the way out here on your own?" I crossed my arms and looked up into his light eyes. He smiled still.
"Soul searching. Anyways, who are you?"
"Robert. Pleasure," he said, looking out to the horizon.
"Pleasure," I repeated curiously.
"So, you’re part of a clan?"
"Do you mind if I come to your camp?"
"Not at all, although my brother will make the decision whether or not you stay."
"He’s the chieftain, eh?"
"Yeah. After my father died it was supposed to be me, since I am the oldest, but I enjoy my current role as healer," I said, feeling kind of smug about it, just so that he understood. He nodded.
"Alright, take me to your brother."
We started walking through the bushes again. It was quiet for a few seconds while I mulled over what was happening. I couldn’t be sure in any way of what was going on in his mind.
"So, soul searching, huh?" I decided to ask.
"Yeah. Cleansing, you know?"
"Yeah. What I was going to say was I can help you with that."
"Yeah. I specialize in herbs. I could make a purifying spell for you."
"How does it work?"
"You have to say ‘yes’ first. Then I’ll show you later," I said looking slightly upwards at him. He must have been around my own age.
Why did I have to be so coy though? Maybe I just wanted to see him again. Maybe that’s why I said that.
He looked down at me admiringly.
"Alright, I say ‘yes’."
"Okay. See you tonight, then."
"Yes, see you tonight."
Our clan had a few dozen people from 14 different families. We grew up like this and never have had a lot of variety in who we played with as children. Now we have all taken on roles in the clan and made ourselves useful, so it wasn’t so bad. Some of us were starting to have children and our parents were dying.
As we approached the foggy camp, my sister saw me and ran foreward.
"Sister!" she yelled. She froze on the spot when she saw Robert beside me. Robert stopped near the outskirts of the camp while I walked over to my sister. "Who is that man?" she asked.
"I found him in the field on the other side of these bushes. He is a traveler. I’m bringing him to our brother."
"Are you sure about that?"
"I’m going to heal him, so I need some time with him," I tried to explain.
"Okay. He’s helping to start a fire. He just sent out some hunters."
"Okay." I turned to Robert and motioned for him to follow.
We made our way to the center of the camp where a fire had just been lit and those who had no duties to do at the moment were warming up and even removing their layers and vests. My brother, sitting at the head of the circle, saw me approaching with the stranger and stood up, almost menacingly.
I walked up towards him and Robert followed by my side. Both Robert and my brother stood at full height. I sighed and shook my head as I began:
"Brother, this man is a wanderer and is tired from his travels. I have offered to let him stop here for rest and herbal healing."
"I see," my brother said, suspiciously. "Okay traveler, you may stay here. What is your name?"
"Robert, are you hungry? I have some men out hunting right now."
"Yes, very, thank you.."
The hunters came back soon and we ate. I didn’t get to speak with Robert that whole time. My brother questioned him throughout the whole meal and didn’t let me or anybody else get a word in.
When the meal was over, darkness began falling. I started gathering materials in a satchel. My brother approached me with Robert.
"You two better start if you want to finish and sleep," he said.
"Yes, brother," I said, closing my satchel. "Come, Robert. We must look for a good place to do it."
We began walking out, keeping track of the direction we came from. We walked out until we found a sort of rocky structure with a cave built in. There was a lot of dead moss around the entrance.
"Is this what we were looking for?" Robert asked.
"Yes, this’ll do. This’ll do fine."
The dark had fallen so we lit a torch to take with us. We sat a few meters into the cave with the torch stuck into the soft dirt ground to be held upwards. I lit another and put it near the opposite wall before taking out the herbs I had brought: sage, dragon’s blood, and coriander. The sage was the only one which was still fresh.
"Remove your jacket and lie down, please," I instructed him as I sat down cross-legged.
He gave me an odd look, but laid down in front of me. He looked rather submissive, like he’d do whatever I wanted. I liked feeling that kind of power over someone. It was strange and always meant the healing worked better as well.
I got to work, saying prayers while holding the herbs and putting them over his body. I held the dragon’s blood over his chest and felt his heart beat. I felt an unusual sensation come over me and I closed my eyes and told myself to continue with the prayer. I opened my eyes and gazed down at his body. He seemed relaxed.
I took some of the sage I had gathered and bound together and lit it with one of the torches. I continued the prayer as I held the bound sage like a wand, walking with a skip and leaving a trail of smoke behind, like a stick of incense. I sat back down and stuck the sage in the ground in front of me.
His body was tantalizingly calm, with slow deep breaths and eyes closed gently. I blew out one of the torches.
"Awake," I commanded. His eyes fluttered open.
"That’s it?" he asked.
"That’s it," I said standing up and taking my remaining herbs back. "We can do another one tomorrow, if you’d like to stay a little longer."
"I’d love to, as long as it’s alright with your brother." He stood up and wiped his hands off.
There was something in his eyes. There was a look. I understood now. This sensation was attraction. It must have been, as I have never felt this way before. I wanted to make love to this man. Maybe I should have used another purifying herb instead of dragon’s blood.
He seemed to be thinking the same way about me, the way he was staring, but I couldn’t be sure. There was a certain intensity. Surely, he must have been thinking the same way.
"What kind of herbs should we use tomorrow?" I asked him, out of curiosity.
"Well, I do have something in mind, but for that we would have to travel to the Misty Mountains. The whole clan will not be able to do this, but, if I had approval, you and I could go. Alone."
"I would prefer it that way," he said with a chuckle. I smiled slyly at him. It was then I understood how he felt about this.
I managed to get my brother to keep the clan in the area until Robert and I returned. The next day we started on our trek to the Misty Mountains. We crossed the field we met on, riding Robert’s horse, but as the land became more and more rocky we had to set the horse free. Robert removed his bag from its back and then we started up the mountain. The horse dashed away across the field in the other direction. It went West I think, while the mountains were North and the camp was South.
We spoke mostly through glances as we climbed the mountain. We found a path on the mountain a few minutes after releasing the horse and realized we could have kept her to take us up, but it was too late now. A few hours later we had hit the layer of fog covering the tops of the mountains from its half-point. From underneath you couldn’t see the peak because of the fog; above the fog, however, you could see everything.
By evening, we were out of the patch of fog that earned the mountains the named: the Misty Mountains. The view was very clear from up here. No grey covering the land. The sun was setting between two mountain peaks which extended to the West. A few beams of orange escaped before the sun was fully eclipsed by the mountains. It was very dark, save for the torch Robert had just lit which cast a very soft glow on the area.
We had stopped in a very nice spot. This time of the season, the ice is retreating with the warmer weather so there was water coming down the mountain. The spot we had had a waterfall and a large pond made from this melting water. It was big enough to take a swim in.
Nice surroundings always help healings - if we were even going to get to that.
"Well, what do you think?" I asked him.
"This is beautiful," he said, looking over the edge at the dark fog covering the land. It looked more like a large abyss now; it looked like if you fell in, no one would ever find your body. "Anyway, what did you have in mind?"
"Well, since there’s a waterfall, we might as well have a bath. Purify ourselves, you know? You to receive healing, and me to give it. Unless you want to, uh…do something else," I hinted with a small smile. He turned back to face me.
"I’m so glad you mentioned that because I was worried that if I did you’d be offended," he laughed, wiping his hands off and standing up.
"What do you mean?"
"I just thought that healers were kind of like priestesses and stayed virgins, and since I wasn’t sure I didn’t say anything."
"Oh. I guess that depends from clan to clan, but I don’t think it’d be such a big deal. I mean, not that the clan has to know about it."
"Well, why don’t we have the bath anyways. Best of both worlds, then we’ll take it from there."
We lit more torches and I hung different herbs around the area. I entered the pool of water away from any of the torches. It felt like entering a pond of liquid darkness. It was very cold, but I stood in so that it was right up to my shoulders and I got used to it quickly. I started playing with the mud and rocks on the bottom using my toes. I shivered still. It was frigid.
I looked over at Robert, who was under the waterfall, facing away me and his hands straight in front of him. I watched the water pour down his bare back. The gleam of the water added definition to his godly build. I found myself staring at him for longer than I meant to, but he didn’t notice for a while. I wasn’t sure whether I should disturb him.
Finally, with a flip of his soaked golden hair, darkened by the wetness, he turned towards me. His body gleaming in the soft light around us. For a moment, I felt so small and weak. I was in the presence of a divine being; a divine being whose full attention was on me.
"Cold?" he asked, approaching me. I wasn’t sure whether or not to answer, but I instinctively gave a small nod. He nodded as well, showing that he understood.
He lowered himself in so that he too was at his shoulders - at eye level with me. His hands found my waist in the water and pulled me closer to him, pressing his lips onto mine forcefully. I kissed back trying to be just as forceful, but he was strong. I wrapped my arms around his neck to keep him in close. He smiled into the kiss.
"Don’t worry about me, I’m not going anywhere," he laughed before continuing the kiss. I had chuckle into it.
"Good, me neither," I said between breaths.
My back hit the side of the pond; with nowhere left to go, he pressed himself against me with every parting and meeting of our lips. I found my legs around his lower back, holding him even nearer. Our wet skin glided perfectly for our movements.
He began kissing down my jawline to my neck, nipping on the softer spots of skin.
"Oh, Robert," I moaned.
His small nips became harder bites. He hungered for this now, I understood. I could feel his hard cock between our stomachs. I brought a hand down and began to stroke it, feeding the fire building within us. He moaned as I began giving him a handjob; he stopped kissing my neck.
"You like that?" I asked him, rubbing his length with varying speeds.
"Yes," he breathed the word.
He decided to return the favor and felt around my thigh. From there, his hand creeped to my vagina, which was leaking into the small pool. He started rubbing my clit, earning more moans from me. My moans were getting louder and louder when he decided to stick two fingers in me. He started pumping them in and out of me and I thought I was almost there. I was tingly and wanting release.
"Very," I groaned as he continued. I made a small noise as he stopped and removed his hands.
"Sorry, but I think you’ll forgive me."
He began positioning himself and I immediately understood. I brought my legs back up a little and made sure they were spread quite far. Robert pressed me against the edge of the pool again and began inserting his throbbing penis into me. Every movement was a small dart of pleasure as he filled me nicely. Once he was in all the way, he began moving in smalll motions, building up quickly.
"Sorry, I can’t-"
"No, Robert, go on. Oh- don’t stop!" I urged him, and he was quick to listen.
With every forward movement he moaned into it. I was nearing the edge. Electricity went through my body as I froze for a moment in orgasm. Though the warm tingling traversed my body, my extremities were kept cool by the water. He continued on, not entirely there yet, as I came down.
He continued the in-and-out motion, sweat dripping from his forehead now. He was going very fast. My hands were gripping his shoulderblades as his hips slapped against mine repeatedly.
"Oh my…Robert-" I moaned.
"Almost, almost," he continued. Our moans were building, building, building, until he circled inside me and we both climaxed at once.
A second, more powerful jolt of electricity came through me, causing me to release a scream out into the night and the fog.
"Valhalla, I’m coming!" Robert yelled to the heavens as he released himself inside me.
We both began breathing very heavily as he took his penis out of me. I still held him close however and kissed him once more. I knew I was very lucky to have been with such a godly man.
"So, thanks for the, uh, healing," Robert said the next morning.
"Yeah, no problem," I said, packing up my stuff. It was the next morning and I had to be finding the camp again. I supposed Robert was free to go wherever he wanted. "Are you coming back with me?"
"I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else," he said with a smile.
"But you were traveling when we met."
"Yes. I was looking for a woman I could love, and I think I’ve found her."
